Adam and Lindsay knew of each other from living in a small town and its funny when Lindsay was working for a local jeweler a few years back she met Adam. He was always so shy and bashful. Being the outgoing funny person Lindsay is she would always try to make him laugh or talk just to loosen him up a little. Fast forward a few years they reconnected through social media. They were just friends for months she really didn’t want to give him a chance at first but she finally did and it was the best decision she had ever made. He is the most genuine, respectful, gentle, kind and loving person.
“he makes me belly laugh at the dumbest things, binge watches psycho Netflix series like YOU with me, he doesn’t like Chinese but we still have “pretend” Chinese in bed movie nights, home goods is our favorite store… Rae Dunn, now that is OUR addiction. He picks out all of my pottery and tells me what I should and shouldn’t have its the cutest thing. We are dog parents, we love them more than life itself. Nothing gives us more joy then coming home to slobber flying and tales wagging! The beach is our favorite place to be, we spend most of our summers there, it most definitely is our happy place. We have our favorite hole in the wall secret dinner spots on the water. Life is just easy living when we are there, its when we are happiest 🙂 (which is funny, it goes to show when your with the ones you love you’re whole energy changes Adam used to HATE the beach until he met me)”
Adam proposed on a private beach during vacation on Labor Day weekend.
When asked how they knew they were the one!
Bride: “You know, I don’t believe in “love at first sight”. I never have. I never had that “OMG, I’m gonna marry that man!” feeling (at first). I believe that you grow in love and learn to love that person more each and every day. I will never forget what made the tables turn for me. I was going through the darkest time of my life. One day I just couldn’t get out of bed, Adam had been staying over and he was there that morning. I just couldn’t get myself together. Couldn’t stop crying, couldn’t get out of bed, there was nothing left of me to give type of day. As I was laying there he came up to the side of my bed and started to rub my head and as he got teary eyed it was the first time he ever told me he loved me. So sincere, he was hurting because I was hurting. I instantly felt like a ton of bricks had been lifted off my back. I got out of bed shortly after that afternoon and my whole day had almost been turned around. Just the littlest things like that can uplift you and make you feel like a million bucks. Adam makes me feel like that almost always. Like I am the only girl in the world. I fall in love with him as we grow every single day and I can’t wait for this next chapter of our life as we grow together as one in our marriage.”
From the Groom: “Lindsay and I were casual friends from the start. After knowing each other for years in our small town, we crossed paths at a dock side restaurant in Ocean City during summer ‘18. After that night we began hanging out more, almost every weekend. We quickly built a great friendship. But I soon realized that the more we hung out the more I cherished her presences, and the more I missed her when we weren’t spending time together. Our friendship slowly began to grow into something more. On October 20th 2018, we went on our first date. Soon after, we officially started dating. I learned that she is a beautiful, gentle, kind hearted, and loving person. We understand each other and most of the time we know exactly what the other is thinking. We enjoy going and doing many of the same things. As we created more memories together I quickly realized she was the one I wanted to spend the rest on my life with. So on September 1st 2019, I dropped to a knee and asked her to be my wife. I’m overwhelmed with joy that I get to marry someone who started as, still is, and always will be my best friend.”
Unfortunately Adam’s brother and best man passed away recently in a tragic work accident. As Lindsay’s wedding gift to Adam, Lindsay gave him a pair of custom sterling silver cufflinks that was engraved with his brothers thumb prints on them that way his brother could be right there with him on his wedding day. They did such an amazing job of including his brother in their wedding day even though he couldn’t physically be with them. It was such an emotional part of the day.
Congratulations y’all! I am so happy I could be the one to tell your sweet love story and capture such a precious day in your lives. I wish you both nothing but happiness <3
